- The 400 Series Split Gate is constructed of 2"
outside diameter 13 gauge high tensile steel.
- Available sizes are 8 foot lengths. (Measurement is
opening size).
- The 400 Series Split Gates has five horizontal rails 1
row of vertical spokes and is 5 feet high when mounted
the recommended 1 foot high.
-
This gate is similar to the swing gate in the
"Animal Health Center" Main Frame with the
major difference being that it fits on a wood post or
wall.
- The main feature of this gate is that you can open either
the the top half or bottom half independent of each
other.
- The split gate may be used for doctoring cattle or
mothering calves or can be used as a creep fence or gate
to allow calves through while holding cows back.
- There is a 408 High Pole Gate with this feature as well.
See the 400 Series equipment.
- This gate line is designed to hang on a wooden post or
wall. All the gates come with two 13 Inch bolts mounted
on the hinges. All you have to do mount the gates is to
drill two 1 inch holes. One of the hinges will slide to
allow for some inaccuracy in drilling the holes.
- Like the other gates, this comes with 30 inches of chain
with one end welded to the gate. There is also a chain
latch to receive the chain for securing the gate closed.
The latch has a skewed slot to minimize the livestock or
horses from rubbing the latch open.
- Primary use is corrals and penning for high pressure
areas for large cattle, buffalo and horses.
- All panels are all coated with our unique gray powder
paint system and then baked for a long lasting finish
that stands up to the most severe climate and weather
conditions.
- This split gate has been used for many applications, from
cattle and buffalo, to horses as well, with many gates
used in Ranching, Feedlot, Rodeo, and Auction Market
applications. There are many gates in use from Alaska all
over the northern and central United States, most of
Canada and some in Europe.
