Bison Equipment Overview

  • The Two-W Bison Equipment is composed of a series of panels and gates set up to form a series of small containment sections or pens that will hold one bison comfortably. The "zero visibility" principle has been applied so the bison can not see out of the system. Each section can be made of panels and/or gates either 8, 10 or 12 feet long or combinations to form a "C" or "S" configuration, or with the same length panels and gates on each side it will form a straight system. The block door sections that the panels and gates connect to are 6 feet 6 inches long with a 5 foot block door in them. The panels and gates are all 7 feet high and sheeted solid with a 4 inch high viewing slot the full length.
  • The sections are large enough to allow the bison to turn around quite easily. This lets them settle down much faster than the old "crowding" methods.
  • The panels and gates can be set up to suit your specific needs as the gates and panels come in the same lengths and are interchangeable. You can design your system to maximize your efficiency.
  • The last section behind the squeeze chute should have a gate in it and can then be also used like a palpation cage.
  • Some of the users of this system use it for cattle as well as bison.
  • The bison equipment is constructed of primarily 2 inch 13 gauge tube and is very rugged.
  • When used in conjunction with the Pearson Bison Squeeze Chute and our 600 Series equipment we feel this to be the best system and method of handling bison on the market today.
  • All the Bison equipment is coated with our unique gray powder paint system and then baked for a long lasting finish that stands up to the most severe climate and weather conditions.
