400 Series High Pole Split Gate |
| The 400 Series High Pole Split Gate is constructed of
2" outside diameter 13 gauge high tensile steel. Available sizes are 8 foot lengths. (Measurement is to post centers). The 400 Series High Pole Split Gates has five horizontal rails 1 row of vertical spokes. The 400 Series High Pole Split Gate is 5 feet high when mounted on the 400 Series posts. The frame has a clearance of 6 feet 10 inches. This gate is similar to the swing gate in the "Animal Health Center" Main Frame with the major difference being that it is independent and is not attached to the Main Frame. It is identical in size and shape to the 408 Standard High Pole Gate. This makes the gate more adaptable to fit into your existing system. It is also a great option to install on the off side of the Animal Health Center. The main feature of this gate is that you can open either the the top half or bottom half independent of each other. The split gate may be used for doctoring cattle or mothering calves or can be used as a creep fence or gate to allow calves through while holding cows back. There is a 408 Corral Gate with this feature as well. See the Gates section. This gate comes with a plunger latch installed with an option of a horse back latch. This gate is designed to connect to all the 400 Series equipment and comes with 30 inches of chain with one end welded to the gate. There is also a chain latch to receive the chain for securing the gate closed. The latch has a skewed slot to minimize the livestock from rubbing the latch open. All panels are coated with our unique gray powder paint system and then baked for a long lasting finish that stands up to the most severe climate and weather conditions. This series of gates have been used in many applications for cattle and buffalo with many being used in Ranching, and Feedlots. |
